Pug Party!!!

OK, how cute an idea is a Pug Party? We attended our local annual pug party over the weekend. There must have been 100 pugs there of all shapes and sizes and colours. We were in a long, narrow establishment and the pugs had the run of the joint. No real people allowed at the restaurant that day...only pug people and their precious pugs. There was free eats and drinks for pug and people alike. I think the pugs had preferential treatment, but then again, it WAS their party. My baby Ting was dressed to impress in her Pugs in a Blanket "Olive U and Pugmanto Too" coat topped off with fall coloured party collar (which went with the Robin Hood theme of the party). Ting does love to accessorize! She was easy to spot in the sea of pugs roaming the floor, hoovering up all sorts of goodies "accidentally" dropped by the pug parents. She's already looking ahead to next years party, wondering what she can possibly wear to top her "coming out" party!!!

The Munchies

So, I'm sitting in my favourite reclining chair, watching the TV, I can hear little puggy down on the floor, but the foot of the chair is up too high for me to see her. After a few minutes, I clue into WHY I can hear my little one...she's eating something. Well, pugs are ALWAYS eating something, but WHAT...what was she eating. I slowly put the chair down. I'm always afraid that I'm going to close her into the chair. Silly, I know, but still...

So, the chair is slowly lowering, and I see my little ones big brown eyes looking at me...Something is wrong with this picture. I lower the chair more. She doesn't have her harness on, but, hum, she's colourful. Huh? What???

The dear little girl is now tilting her head to one side, giving me those serious puppy dog eyes. She knows before I do that she's in big trouble!!! Puppy is sitting in the middle of a bundle of yarn...to be more specific, she is sitting in the middle of a bundle of yarn that USED TO BE her sweater in progress!!! I only had one leg left to do, and then blocking and sewing on the buttons!!! She had ripped it back to the collar, munching on the wool with glee and tearing off more as the portion in her mouth got soggy!

Well, if she wants to rip-it then I'm really going to do it!!! I got a pattern the other day for a frog outfit - pug size...I'm going to find someone to translate the pattern for me (it's in Japanese), and I'm going to make that froggy suit for her to wear every time she rips back a project of mine...That'll show her!!! :)

Picture of my baby (when she WAS a baby)

Here she is...my puppy, Ting. Pug puppies have got to be the cutest things ever...and my baby is no exception!

She's a few months older now, and I'm in the process of knitting her a sweater. I've been in the process of knitting this sweater for the past month or so now. I'm a procrastinating knitter...It's easy to procrastinate when you have a dog. And, when you have a PUG!!! Well, it's a wonder I get out the door to work in the mornings!

I'm gonna go and work on that sweater...
